Soto - West Village, NYC

Sushi bar- was packed shortly into the evening
Simple, almost austere sushi joint that has stood the test of time. High quality fish prepared in creative ways. Great uni dishes- my most recent sushi obsession.

Address: 357 6th Ave, New York, NY

Uni cocktail- sea urchin with soy, wasabi
and seaweed threats- cool and refreshingly delicate.
Fluke ponzu - thinly sliced and topped wit
chive, shiso leaf and ginger. Yum.
More uni - this time rolled in white kelp.
Tempura of shrimp, scallop, taro, shiitake,
and asparagus. Crunchy and remarkably light
Soft shell crab with ponzu sauce. If you're into soft
shell crabs- this is as simple and delicious as they get.
Fatty tuna scallion roll - amazing.
Salmon avocado roll- classic combination and well done.
